Fractals and Bluejooz

I've done a little video containing fractal artworks created using Chaoscope and then post producing them in Photoshop with various free plug ins.
The music is titled as "Powder" but it isn't. The actual track is called "Frozen Dawn".
Enjoy...

Shadow Of Doubt by Cyra Elia

Here is a new song that I have just produced for Cyra Elia (pronounced Kai-rah E-liar)
Written and sung by Cyra and features Kev Carlton Jones on guitars and bass. Drums, keyboards and other musical knick knacks were done by myself.
The track is called "Shadow Of Doubt" and it will only be available for a limited time.

At the moment it is available via Reverbnation (no registration needed) so please take a listen by clicking on the link below.
Shadow Of Doubt

You will find that after listening to the track that there are several other versions on the page. They are the originals. Cyra used this track as a "Work In Progress" and kept her Facebook buddies updated with numerous versions so they could hear how the song went from a simple 4 track recording (Yamaha MT50) to a completed final mix.

You will also find other songs on the page too that you may also like.

Enjoy,
Blue

New release... "Quarks"

My little ambient online label, The Ambient Collective, has just released "Quarks", a project launched and conceived by Jujigen (a.k.a. Kevin Rees)
It only contains a few tracks but they really do pack an ambient punch.
Treat yourself... go on, it's free!

C64 classic remix... Delta 07 by Bluejooz

Ahhhh... one of the greatest musicians of Commodore 64's history in my opinion was Rob Hubbard.
This version I did was a rearrangement of the original version. It has been knocking around the Internet for sometime but now you can get it here... from the original artist himself... me. Even though Rob Hubbard wrote it (thumbs up!)
I love the original version and hope I've done it some justice. Hard to believe that the original is over twenty years old...
As usual with my tracks I operate something which I've tagged the "Honesty Policy". In other words, if you like it then please consider a small donation. Half of all donations go to Breast Cancer Research.

Privately by Cyra Elia

Privately was originally written by myself and Cyra around 2001 and featured Ian "Brooke" Marshall on guitar, Cyra on vocals and myself on keyboards. The track went down well at gigs but as a recording it just didn't meld. Two and half years ago I uploaded the original version as a download even though I wasn't happy with it. It wasn't long after when our old guitarist, original member Dave Sharples, heard it and contacted Cyra on Facebook and was hooked on it straight away. He had come up with some guitar hooks and sounds that he thought would compliment the track. In December 2007, Boxing Day, we met up for the first time since 1998 and headed straight to the studio to work on a new version.
New keyboards were layered, new vocals were recorded along with backing vocals and several new guitar tracks were applied to the original recording. After two days recording it was almost ready to mix down. After a few little edits, a snip here, a snip there, a few mind altering drugs... no wait, I can't remember that bit... anyhow, I give you "Privately".
Remember, if you like the track then please consider using the "Honesty Policy". All I ask for is a small donation (paid via PayPal)... I don't mind if it's a cent, a nickle, a dime, a dollar, a quid, a euro. Half of all donations go to Breast Cancer Research charity.

Speedball 2 remix...

I've had loads of requests for this track so I've finally uploaded it here so everyone can grab it.
Originally written by Nation XII for The Bitmap Brothers all time classic game Speedball 2.
This was my second attempt at remixing this track and personally I think it's my best version. I have another but it's somewhere online but I can't find it... maybe that's a good thing though because if my memory serves me right... it was a tad shit.

I have some more remixes somewhere including "Gods", "Delta" (two versions) and "Zoids".

I will eventually upload them and share them but for now please enjoy Speedball 2 Brutal Remix!

Again, if you enjoy the track then please consider using my "honesty policy"... click on the donation button. You can submit anything you think is worthy (a penny... a pound... a euro... a couple of bucks etc!)
Donations will go into my beer fund but if I get to £50 pounds then I will donate half to charity. And which charity? Breast Cancer Research.
Many thanks,
Blue

Blimey... back from the dead?

Greeeeets.... it's been a while :)
Ok, I'm back. Things have changed too... apart from writing new ambient material I've also dipped back into my band roots too. I've been remastering a few of my old tracks and even re-recorded some too. The latest is a track called "Puppetmaster" which was originally written over ten years ago with my old band "Cyra Elia". We split up over ten years ago so in reality Puppetmaster is a lot older than I remember... I have problems remembering what I had for breakfast most days!
Anyhow, the track has been totally redone and features the original guitarist and vocalist (Dave Sharples and Rachel Whittingham) and sounds fabulous. I'm allowed to biased ;)

The track is available for free... but if you like it (or even think it sucks) then please consider a small donation... even if it's just a quid, a euro, a dollar or a button, your donation will go towards my beer fund. Erm.
