Ebay Blues... PayPal woes... and that's just the start!

It's been a few weeks since my last entry. Thank the lawd I've calmed down.
Things have been a little busy and also a little on shitty too. I've just lost my website (boohooo) due to a parcel going missing (more than likely stolen) to an Ebayer. Long story short...

Put up an item for sale.
It sold.
Got the payment.
Sent the item.
Buyer contacted me explaining that it hadn't yet arrived.
Told the buyer to be patient as it has happened before and the goods do turn up.
Two weeks passed... nothing had arrived.
After a month I got a restriction slapped on me after the buyer put in a dispute claim.
Explained that I had been offline for two weeks so it was impossible for me to have put up my side of the story.
So... due to PayPal restricting my in's and out's I sent them a cheque on the 7th Oct. They haven't cashed it to date. Could be due to the fact that they only accept the cheque payments in DOLLAR$ and not in STERLING. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Probably not as stupid as me though but I still think that the set up is absolute crap. Cheques are being phased out this year so what are they going to do then?
Moving on...
I recieved an email from Host Ultra (the place where my website *used* to be hosted) telling me that my payments have failed and they would try again. Now this whole event started on the 2nd September... it's now 31st October. I was told that they would try again in 15 days. Pheww.
After sending PayPal a few emails on why they cheque still hadn't been cashed I discovered that they only accept dollar cheques (*see "Stupid." ;)) so I quickly sent them a Postal Order. That was last Tuesday... a week has passed and yet again they seem to be dragging their heels.
Got an email last night "Your website has been Terminated". Great! It read:
"
This email is to inform you that your Host Ultra account has been
terminated for non payment.
All your files, databases and settings have already been permanantly
deleted from our servers.

----
Thanks again for hosting your site with us!"

Thanks a bunch... oh and I love that the last line "Thanks again for hosting your site with us!"

So... my webby has gone but hopefully when PayPal drag their lazy butts to their
postbox and cash my Postal order then it will be back!! Bigger and better too!!

Back later..

A Few More pictures...

Here are a few more pictures that I took. The latest pictures are the Llandudno series mainly because it is where I live so I thought because it's such a lovely day I would go for a stroll and take some snaps for you!
The Paris photo was taken last year along with the images below this post. I hope you enjoy the pictures...
Feel free to post a comment.

Paris - Dusk 'til Dawn

Llandudno - "Happy Valley"

Llandudno - "The Little Orme"

Llandudno - "The Bay"

Pictures of Paris

These pictures where taken last year when I was in Paris. The city has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. I cannot wait to visit it again hopefully later this year!
They were all taken on a Kodak EasyShare digital camera which has sadly since bit the dust... wooden floor, tipsy wife and greasey fingers. Say no more...
Enjoy and feel free to post any comments.

Excellent! Firefox and it's "Blog This" feature!

Nerd alert!!
Test post! I'm using Firefox these days and I've not really explored it properly. I have just come across this link in the tool area... ahem. I am attempting to see what it does!
If all goes to plan then it means that I don't have to log in to post an update which in my opinion... kind of rocks.

A few updates in the life and times of a dullard.
I've done a few more tunes but these are extremely cheesey!! Why? What? I have done them for a little platform game that "MadLad Designs" are creating. It's a totally addictive "bouncy-ball-boing-boing" game that is so simple to play that I can't stop playing it! The tunes are annoying but they blend in nicely! Let's face it... if you can play "Bubble Bobble" with the volume up for more then five minutes then this will be a pleasure!

Photos... photoes... piccys... piccies!!!
Last September, I spent a week in one the most beautiful cities in the world.. Paris. I took some snaps including a million of the Eiffel Tower for some reason... you know how it is! I am going to attempt to upload some of them somewhere so I can share them with everyone. Some of the pictures I took are stunning... others are just plain crap but I shall seperate the wheat from the chaff and select a few of the best ones.

By the way, as an experiment, some of the pictures have been enhanced.

I will upload them very soon!!

Ambient Collective - My website musical project

Aye aye! Major overhaul at H.Q.. We are talking a total revamp and a new glossy look. Yep, even though I was off for almost 10 weeks from work, I have only just decided to work on the website and give a new look and feel... And you know what? I'm impressed. Now, I just need people to visit and sign up and plug there tracks! wafflewafflewaffle.....

Did a healing Monday just gone (first in months) and it went really well although the music I used was very veeeeery laid back and even I almost fell into a trance like sleep! It was the first time I used music too so I'm going to need to practice staying awake I think or I'll be falling asleep all over my patients LOL. Just in case you are interested in what kind of healing I do; it's natural "hands on" healing. It's not Reiki but more of an original American Indian style which I guess has been passed down my through my Mothers' side of the family (Cree). Anyhow, enough hocus pocus for now...

Speak soon and be nice :)

I'm the worlds oldest teenager!

Woke up this morning to the rapturous sound of wind escaping my partners donut. I decided against yawning In case I inhaled anything nasty.
Mornings... I'm not grumpy in the mornings well, okay, not 'as' grumpy as I used to be but I think I've mellowed in my old age. However, this morning, things were a little different. I knew that today was going to be "one of them days".
First off... I have developed spots on my face! They look like teenage spots! I'm 34. I got zits. Crap.
Second, went to check if anything has been emailed to me from an online shop because I ordered a new TFT 17" monitor for a snip of the price on Thursday. So far, I've not heard nothing from the company but it may not be their fault. My hosted server could be playing up and I may not be able to receive any emails to the address that I gave with the order! I only found this out after contacting the online store via a complaints page. Eek, it's probably not their fault lol.
Thirdly, my internet has really been slow today. I tried updating my AV and it wouldn't do it so in the end it crashed my pooter. Shit.
Fourthly, I thought "bollocks to it" and headed off into town with some gift vouchers for WHSmiths with the intention of buying a new game for my XBox. Great! Our Smiffs don't stock the latest XBox games! Oh, they have some XBox games but they are so old that they are on cassettes!
So, all in all, not a good start to the day. It's now approaching 17:30 and I'm unwinding by listening to some of my music.
Holy crap, my CD is jumping!
Think I'll go for a walk with a large bar of chocolate and contemplate how I got my spots!!

Aha! I remember now!

Yup, it's been a few weeks since my last update only because I had forgotten what my password was! Also, being the light headed idiot that I am famed for, I also forgot which email address I had signed up with. Bit of a berk really considering that I'm usually quite a bright spark.
A few updates... I'm back at work! Booooo!

That's it.

Oh, I've also managed to upload 3 new CD's full of my music to my website containing new material and remixes of my ambient / classical / lounge synth work. Surely there must be a better description than that lot... A part from shit please! Anyhow, they are free but I would like it if perhaps that if you did decide to download them then please consider a small donation... say perhaps just a pound / a euro / a buck! Anything so I can upload more music :)
So far there have been over 100 downloads of each CD... But no donations. Man, I could have been a hundred buff better off! Ooops, ahem. Erm, yes, any small donation would be greatly appreciated, thank you very very much ;)

Until next time... nanoo nano.

Music... click here to grab my tracks!!

Update: I've had to pull one of the CD's (Lost For Words) because of a slight cock up in the tracks. Track 3 was the same as track 4 LOL. Told you... A bright spark but flickering in the wind.
A new version will be uploaded only if someone donates a buck!

Ouch...

Had a painful couple of days. Thought I'd just let you know...
My bleedin' ribs are killing me at the moment.
I have discovered that hardest part about having broken ribs is that it restricts you in so many ways that I don't think I could list the whole darn lot. So, here is a condensed list of the things that I REALLY want to do... but daren't!
  • Fart
  • Cough
  • Laugh
  • Burp
  • Hiccup
  • Sneeze
And guess who's coming down with a cold?

"Daytime TV and bloody bulbs!"

I have come to the conclusion that British daytime TV has to be the worst in the world. I have had to endure a couple of painful weeks recently because of my broken ribs and I have been subjected to some of the most diabolical programs ever. I'm not sure which is the most painful; ribs or TV? Please, someone give me stronger painkillers.

Freaky goings on in the house today too. There seems to be a message trying to get to me this morning... But I can't see it!
I was searching for a replacement bulb for a Kodak DX6430 Digital camera but could I find one? I tried everywhere; Google, Yahoo!, MSN etc., but found nowt. I then decided to turn on my lamp on my desk and low and behold... The bulb pinged. Bugger. The lamp is only a month old so the bulb can't be much older. Anyheeeuw, I went to get a cup of tea and on the way down the stairs I turned on the hall light. Ping. "Shit" was all I could muster. Got to the kitchen and switched the kettle on, went under the sink to get a new bulb for the hall and then realised that there is no way I could change it with my busted ribs. So, I put the bulb back, poured my brew and then headed to the front room for quick look at the TV and popped the light on... Ping. "Bastard."

My first BLOG, my first rant.

Blogging.
My first Blog entry.

I'm recovering after being assaulted and finally my ribs seem to be mending nicely. My head is no longer elephant man like neither.
Finished reading "The Da Vinci Code" last night was impressed by it although I preferred "Digital Fortress" (less thinking, more action I suppose) Next book to read? Well, believe it or not, it's another Dan Brown novel called "Deception Point" and from what I've been told, it's a cracking book.

Oh, it's also my Birthday today. I think I've got less days ahead of me than I have behind me now so maybe I should start looking forward more than looking back!

Got a new tune on the go. It should be ready sometime next week so I'll keep you posted. And of course, it is free to download. In the meantime, here you go.
